Designer Harry Grosberg founded Belstaff in the English Midlands in 1924 and was the first company in the world to use a totally waterproof fabric: Belstaff's signature wax cotton. The coats became mainstays for motorcycle riders in the U.K.--though today they are beloved worldwide.
