Inspired by the artisanal creations of local craftswomen she saw on a trip to Nyariga, Ghana, designer Audrey David partnered with them to start Muuñ, a line of basket bags hand-woven from dyed straw. The modern pieces are finished in Paris with sturdy leather handles, a protective inner cotton pouch, and mixed-material trim. Trained at the Duperré School of Applied Arts in Paris, David expanded her collection to include bags hand-knit in Georgia from recycled wool and vegetable-tanned leather totes made in France.
