Poplin Mini Skirt
For Resort 2014, Nina Ricci creative director Peter Copping puts a
modern, slightly deconstructed stamp on the house’s fabled feminine
French codes. Inspired by Provence's warm-weather colors and rustic
textiles, the line includes floral eyelet, tropical tweeds, airy chiffon
and signature touches of lace.
Here, even something as simple and seemingly straightforward as a mini skirt becomes an exercise in inventive patterning: In front, Copping adds discreetly curved seams that begin at mid-thigh and arc downward toward a flared hemline; in back, traditional gores end in untraditional released pleats.
- Navy poplin
- Gored skirt with flared hem, curved seams and tucks in front, gores ending in released pleats in back, invisible waistband, finished overcast hem

An air of romance and a sense of refinement are the hallmarks of every Nina Ricci creation. Founded in 1932 by Italian-born Marie “Nina” Ricci, this French fashion house offers polished clothing, shoes and accessories that epitomize la mode feminine. Known for his flattering silhouettes and creativity with fabric, newly appointed Creative Director Guillaume Henry brings an effortless elegance to the house’s iconic style.
