Metallic Skirt Sequin Top Dress
Own a piece of fashion history: The 19 separates in Proenza Schouler's First Collection are based on the original 2003 line by Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez. Reinterpreted for 2013, the pieces are now styled with new fabrics, figure-flattering design details and luxe new trims.
Here, the only dress in the collection—and what a dress. Cut with a forgiving blouson silhouette, this sleeveless sheath is softly tailored with a slim darted skirt of metallic fabric overlaid with sheer black gauze. Styled with a scoop neck, the dress bodice is heavily embellished with pewter sequins and overlaid with bloused, filmy gauze. The knockout sheath is finished with a black satin waistband. Side zip closure. 38" shoulder to hem. Available in Black/White. Made in Italy. Wool/silk/polyester/nylon. Dry clean.

In 2002, designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez combined their mothers’ maiden names to create Proenza Schouler. The duo attended Parson’s School of Design where their senior thesis became their first formal collection and was bought in its entirety by Barneys New York. Inspired by youth culture and modern art, the designers continually wow their worldwide following while using custom-developed materials to skillfully craft their womenswear, accessories and, of course, signature handbags.
