Law launched Kara, her line of purses, messenger bags, and luxury backpacks in 2013, with a focus on simple shapes and clean lines. The name is derived from the Japanese word karaoke, meaning an empty orchestra, an image that represents the possibility for creation and self-expression to the New York-based designer.
