Founded in 2003 by longtime friends Susanne Pruitt and Shelley Callaghan, Seattle-based home and body fragrance brand Antica Farmacista is known for popularizing reed diffusers in the U.S. Formulated with notes from lemon to sandalwood, the duo’s signature product is inspired by diffusers discovered in Italy, as is the label’s name, which is Italian for “ancient chemist.” Today, the company creates custom scents for hotels across the country and has expanded its line to include American-made candles, bubble baths, moisturizers, and more.
